Cisco Faria's "RATMERC" 1951 Mercury

Check out the tall shifter with the Frankenstein knob.

This 51 Merc was built for Cisco Faria as a 1/18 scale model of his real show winning car. Cisco is a high end collector of autos and automobile related memorabilia. He was unable to have a model of his car due to the fact that there are no 51 Mercury models produced without a chopped top. That is.....until he met Dragsterjoe. It took some time but the end result was nothing short of amazing. Even the interior matches the real car. His Mercury has been in several magazines and has been shown at numerous shows. Cisco is currently puting the finishing touches on his street driven 55 Chevy Drag Truck. Could that mean another Dragsterjoe custom? I hope so!!!!!!!

Not all projects are done for the sake of making money. Sometimes things are done just because.
A good friend of mine was under pressure to get two pinewood derby cars ready for both of his sons and he only had a couple of days. He called me up on Monday and explained that the paint was not cooperating. I asked what colors and designs the boys wanted. The next day I took the cars to him and the look on their faces tell the rest of the stoy.              Dragsterjoe got it done!

Birth of 23 Late Models

After purchasing 23 1/24 scale Nascar diecast cars I stripped and modified the bodies. A couple of coats of primer and paint and the decals and clearcoat finished the job. I know that sounds simple. But it was the biggest job to date for Dragsterjoe. The entire project took just over 2 months. But what a great looking car.

They are available at H&S Body Works 661-324-6703.

Buddy Shepherd's 2015 Madera Speedway Championship winning car.

All gas filler holes were filled and roof tabs and flaps were  deleted. Hood pins went away too.

The 2 Shepherd Daytona 500 Party raffle cars. Donated by...DRAGSTERJOE.COM

One of my biggest projects to date was

the Hall Ambulance 35th anniversary celebration table settings. Some lucky person at each table took one home.

Each ambulance had to be disassembled and stripped of its original decals. New decals were printed and applied. There were over 100 of these things. Note that all of them had the same number 71. The 71 stood for the year that the company was founded. Everything done at Hall Ambulance is first class.

      What do you drive?

Would you like to have a scale model of your own personal daily driver? It doesn't have to be a race car !!!!!!

Just ask Melissa......She is proud of her new "Mini Munchkin"
Ray Shearer smiles as he receives
his Dragsterjoe built custom that replicates the dragster that he raced for years. The custom features hand built aluminum headers, hand built scoop as well as many other secret tricks.  The small block Chevy, gold leaf striping and lettering were spot on. Ray's response was......

Buddy Shepherd's 2017 Southwest Tour Car #22

                     "RETRO ROCKET"

I guess I am a pretty lucky guy as all of my kids have the gearhead mentality!!! Even my twin daughters love cars. Shelbi has been with me

at a number of events when I presented models to racers and lucky raffle winners. Boy was she surprised when she was presented with her

own custom diecast replica. The model was a copy of her real Infiniti G35. As you can see by the photos, it was an emotional moment for

both of us. The model is so close to the real thing. Shelbi was amazed at the similarity and even questioned me regarding the location of

her bottle of touch up paint. No sooner did I get the diecast model done, She purchased a second ride. A 2017 Infiniti Turbo Q60.

Guess I better get busy..............Stay tuned

My oldest son Jacob also received a model.

He was just as surprised to see a model of

his own ride. If you ever wondered what it

would be like to have an import with a big V8, this is it! He has made several mods to

it over the last few years and shown it in a few car shows. It has appeared in videos and several photos on the internet.

When I surprised him with his diecast Lexus GS400. he wasn't quite as emotional as Shelbi but the smile says it all !!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone familiar with the Spears Southwest Tour Racing Series will definitely recognize this car!

It's the Campbell Motorsports 43 car driven by Derek Thorn. Always a front runner and usually the winner. They don't get any better!!!!!

Derek was searching for someone to replicate his car in diecast. Thanks Derek for choosing DRAGSTERJOE!!!!!!!

This year I will be working on several cars for Roland Leong's collection. The four cars shown to the right are cars that were built several years ago for Roland. He had me restore them to the condition as they were presented to him.

Seen below are the first 3 cars that I built for Roland. I will be adding 3 more shortly. These are only a few of the cars Roland campaigned throughout his very successful drag racing career.

Del Worsham's 2016 "Indy" Mello Yello funny car

Mark had a great time at Indy 2017 and was thrilled to have his Mello Yello car signed by driver Del Worsham. I have met Del before. He's a great guy!!!!!
I built this Mello Yello Toyota funny car for my good friend Mark Scegiel. It is the Kalitta / Del Worsham 2016 Indy car. I was there to see it run. I also saw it at SEMA 2016.

    James Dean's 1/18 scale 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder

This is the 1/18 scale DRAGSTERJOE version of James Dean's 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder. If you are a James Dean fan you will definitely want to get hold of a book called Road to Salinas. It has all of the true facts and latest discoveries surrounding Dean's last few days. I have a copy and highly recommend it to all!
